Our why

  • Rather EDU was established out of the desire to see systematic change in our school systems. We strongly believe that every child deserves the right to a quality education that will create generational freedom and mobility. In order for this to happen; parents must be aware of how their child learns, what they are learning, and how to support their child’s academic growth; teachers must be supported in developing deep pedagogy, have on-going coaching and feedback, and be able to apply cultural relevance and equitable practices to daily lessons; leaders must receive on-going coaching that focuses on organizational alignment, innovation and adaptation, developing stronger teams, improving employee retention, and supporting their own mental health.

As former teachers, coaches and principals we fully understand the challenges educational systems bring, but we wholeheartedly believe extraordinary outcomes are possible in all school settings. Our approach is not a one-size-fits-all. We listen intentionally to the concerns of parents, teachers and/or principals. We analyze the data, do a qualitative analysis that includes input from all stakeholders and work side by side with parents, teachers, and principals to tailor a plan that makes sense for their contexts—blending equity and rigor, empathy and implementation.
